Air Foot Control

No more replacing old foot controls because of water damage or corrosion.  The Air Foot Control uses an air bellow connected by flexible tubing to the switch box that is plugged into your electrical outlet.  Pushing the aire bellow creates enough pressure to operate the air switch which safely controls your machine.  The Air Foot Control allows you to operate your machine with both hands free to make the shave ice.  Comes complete with air bellow and switch box.

Gatco Blade Sharpener

Maintaining the correct angle is very important when sharpening dull blades.  The Gatco sharpening system allows you sharpen blades at a 22 degree angle which is what you need when sharpening a swan shaver blade.  The Gatco system contains coarse, medium and fine honing stones with guide rods and a unique blade clamp that insures an accurate angle.

Replacement Blades

When your blade gets dull, the motor works harder and runs hotter.  Always keep a spare blade on hand.  Putting a new blade on your machine is like changing the oil on your car.  It's the best preventive maintenance you can do.  A new blade will shave finer and faster.  We carry a complete line of Swan Blades.

Helpful Hint - Not all ice is created equal.
Not all block ice is alike.  Most ice houses offer "compressed block ice".  Compressed Ice is made from small ice chips that are compressed and refrozen into blocks.  Compressed Ice does not work well in a block ice shaver.  As compressed ice thaws it can fall apart while in the machine.  The best block ice is solid, clear block ice.  Solid clear ice is made by filling a container with water and freezing it into a solid block of ice.  Solid block ice can be purchased from some quality ice houses.  Cube ice also comes in various shapes and sizes.  "Flake Ice" from an ice maker will not work in a cube ice shaver.  If you use a cube shaver make sure you use solid, clear cube ice or chunk ice.
